Hi, I’m Tanvee, I’m in my
twenties; I work as a software analyst. I moved away from home (India/Pune) for
my studies (Masters/Warwick) that was the first time I stayed alone. After my
studies I moved to London for work. Every day I learn something new, I’m surprisingly
good at making mistakes ;). Every day is a scary adventure (I do have T with me
most of the times) but still it gets lonely at times.
Cooking skills
The
first time I cooked was
after I moved away from home, during my first year alone I lived on pot
noodles. Now I love cooking soups, salads and baking (though I can’t
bake that
often, who will eat everything I bake???). I'm always on the look for
good, easy and healthy recipes. My first choice is always a good soup
with some grilled meat and vegetables.
Weight Issues
I was overweight for most of
my life; I entered the gym for the first time when I was 24. All my life I
wanted to become ‘thin’ but it took me a lot of time to actually start working
towards my fitness. I had all the possible unhealthy habits you can think of (I
hated exercise, I loved snacking and junk food was how I bonded with T, I would
get up in the middle of the night just to eat). The only reason I ever wanted
to lose weight was to wear nice clothes. I wanted to feel pretty like all my
other friends.
Bday’s over the years
Every year I promised myself
I would be in my ideal weight range by my next birthday..finally done (last image if from this years bday March 2013)
I love...
Talking, writing, teaching
(I’m not a teacher but if I’m asked to teach anything I know I can do it well),
I love all the possible festivals and celebrations, I love family gatherings, I
love day dreaming (no time these days), listening to music
Fitness love..
I'm happier on days that I workout, I love my spin, zumba and running. I also do lots of body resistance exercises and recently I have started weight training more seriously.

Family
I’m very close to my family.
Before I moved away we would have dinner together every single day. We still
talk every day and on weekends we try to Skype. My sister is 7.5 yrs younger
than me but surprisingly we get along really well. We have loads of fun together
and if you see us together you will not understand a thing we do or say (we
have our own kind of fun). Even after I moved away I still talk to her every
single day, as soon as she is back from university she calls me and we talk
about everything possible, everybody is usually surprised at how much we can
talk
Fact: you know her name has
the same alphabets as my name just scrambled (in my mother tongue)
T
I have known T (Terence) for
10 years now. I plan to post more soon till then you will have to be satisfied with our snaps :)
Something changed with my weight loss
I always thought after I
reach my ideal weight I would be satisfied but now my goals have changed I no
longer focus on only my weight, I also have started to work on improving my
fitness. I hated running and now I
dream of running a marathon (I have a long way to go but this was something that had never crossed even my wildest imagination)
When I was overweight I
would try and avoid snaps or hide behind people but as I
began to lose weight things changed I don’t miss any opportunity to pose, as
soon as the camera comes on my smile comes on no matter what I’m doing I’m
ready to pose
(even when I' m just walking ;) )
Why I blog?
Mainly for two reasons I
love writing and I really want to share with anybody willing to read about
everything I did to reach my ideal weight. I want to share my mistakes, my
lessons, everything that I went through. With all my unhealthy habits and bad attitude
I think I must have gone through 90% of issues most overweight people have. I
have worked hard on changing myself. At this point in life I can confidently
say I have turned a new leaf. I have reached my ideal weight and now I’m
working towards becoming fitter. I hope by blogging I keep reminding myself
about my journey, lessons and I also hope you find my experience useful
in your fitness journey.
I really hope you enjoy reading my blog :)
